Part IV...Sky High Mind Blowing...

As I am going into my fourth chapter, I've come to realize that this book was actually just has the same ending or conclusions as the previous chapters, but it has a different interesting scenery. I strongly feel like this was another black woman falling for a gorgeous man, who eventually pleased her like no one else have. I am really hoping to see if there was anything different. In the beginning, it really caught my attention, it was clever, and it stated "Red, the color of blood, of life, of rage, of love. Her color." It was making sense to me personally, although I was thinking of a red head crazy chick, but I was wrong. It was describing her favorite color and the different shades of red. Red made her feel incredible and I understood, although People Magazine stated that guys who wear red is actually complimentary and attractive to women. In this story, the shades of red expresses her emotions when she wears them, clothes that is. I believe everyone relates to it. For example, when I dress up in public, it depends where I'm going or what I want to wear. If I wore a shirt, pants, and sneakers, it expresses comfortability. Wearing a dress shirt, slacks, and boots expresses confidence and comfort, especially a bit flamboyant. This really boost your ego and feeling great with nothing to loose. Furthermore, the quote was from a poem and had so much more to it, it was written from a writer named Maya Angelou. Eventually, I searched and she does exist. I love how it is realistic and makes me wonder now that all the characters in this book maybe Nia (the author) the whole time and she is expressing herself, so no one would judge her. Moving on, the girl who was intrigue by the poem and loves red is Felicia. Felicia seemed pretty young like in her early twenties, because of how she reacts in the story like a kid getting their Christmas gifts that they've longed for. Surprisingly, that wasn't a hook up like the previous chapters. Felicia had a boyfriend and his name is Malik. Their connection was great and simple. Simple is better than most. She had a great instincts and she was the girl that guys should be with. Reason is because she knew her boyfriend inside out and accepted it. It seemed very natural for them to be together and it is like a couples dream to be. LL Cool J pops up in the middle of the story and is another fact that he exist, he is an attractive male rapper whos signature was licking his lips. and LL Cool J stands for Ladies Love  Cool James. Another James! On the other hand, the romantic part was the view of the city during her visit to Malik's workplace building. It was getting better as I continue to read. It got deeper with romance and you can picture how they would be together, so young, so in love, and their beautiful affection. At last, I love you was actually mentioned in  this chapter and it keeps getting better, so far this is my favorite chapter. Felicia and Malik secretly planned it on their own, but it turned out that both plans work together naturally and soon they were passionate. Afterwards, they began to conversate about everything and I find it cute. I was amazed that Malik really showed his love towards Felicia, and every guy should be like him in this city or better yet the world.

Part III...Perfect Smile...

The title of this chapter sounds much more romantic than the first two chapters. I like this chapter. In the beginning, it talked about photography and it was nice for someone to express their great passion for a leisure activity. I am thinking that this is Nia, the author, expressing herself interest. She really describes anything from the deepest level, which I do sometimes and it really made me smile. It sounds as if she's in her own world and didn't care what people would think, say, or do. I strongly admire that. I feel like there are other things in this chapter that really intrigues my curiousity and it seemed like more love than lust. She mentions that there will be photo shoot and it features a "very handsome black man", as the book says. Her use of vocabulary is really amazing and sometimes I really have to double check if she meant what I understood, most of the time I'm right. Furthermore, the photo shoot is when Nia and the male model will take half naked photos, which I am guessing are just underwear or bikinis. I believe this will be fun and beneficial for the photographer, especially their works of art is born to a very beautiful picture. Nia mentions that half naked pictures are "illusion of nudity". Very true and interesting. It is truly entertaining when the photographer or agent that coordinated this event and have everyone work really close to each other. Next, Nia begins to tell the agent to show their work of art, the picture, to the half naked guy and to see how beautiful it is. And so, the half naked man appeared to be an exhibitionist. It came to my senses that this model was admiring the picture and loving himself more than the rest that was included. How annoying that would be right? Everyone has their time for being narcissitic. Surprisingly, the agent use that same word, narcisstic and used it against him, it was like he was a buzz kill. I've come to realize that this story is between the model and the agent, because how she continues to talk in the story. Apparently, the agent and the male models relationship grew from being good to something distasteful. You can always tell if some people are in a love-hate relationship. It really is kind of upsetting to see that you hate someone or something for lots and lots of reasons and your feelings are telling you otherwise. It's like your heart challenges your mind or vice versa. I am on the right path to this story and she had to be in that position, which totally sucks. I kind of feel sorry for her to be in that ridiculous position. For instance, she knows she hates him, but when they met again for another shoot, something got to her to notice his every angle, posture, movement, body, and the rest of his features, it really felt like a slow motion movement like in a movie of how a guy gets lost while staring at the girl he likes. If you were in that position, don't you just want to slap yourself and say hello! It's really funny. I believe this is where the title comes in, the perfect smile, that led to her weakness. Just by noticing everything about the two slowly is really entertaining and there is a movie that is similar to this, the relationship part of course. The movie is called "Life as we know it". They both relate to each other when they realize they're in love. Moving on, the model finally introduces his name, James. James is such a common character for a guy that carries that name. It's like they're automatically good looking. Anyways, James seemed like a guy who can control you as soon as he finds out your weakness and I believe that is going to happen. The new photo shoot was a  bit more bare, but still have a tiny clothing on. As this as his advantage to flirt with her and making her vulnerable to his game. Obviously, it was working completely and she couldn't do a thing about it, but secretly admire him while taking the photos. James had the advantage of telling her what to do, so that he could work well with his photo shoots. Constantly requesting to make himself more comfortable. That would be so annoying and she knew it, but didn't mind. They're becoming annoying to me. The agent stood so strong like the character who played Eva in Deliver us from Eva and of course she completely lost it all, because she was enormously attracted to him. I completely understand and it really does suck and sometimes scary too. I felt that love was going to happen immediately and it did. It started from her getting to close while taking photos and I am aware an accidental falling will happen, which I was right. I really thought there were so many people working on the set, but it was just the two of them. It was really funny how she knew what was going to happen after falling on top of him, but I imagined what if he resisted, it would've been embarrassing. But the usual happens they fell for each other. Connections really is something in this world.

Part II...The Handyman...

This Chapter gave me an idea of a single woman who happens to bump into someone attractive that happens to be a person she needs during her struggle as the title states "The Handyman". As I read the first part of the story, it described a girl name Tanya Moore who is determined type of person. She's someone I can relate to because she never gives up until you really really really can't do anything about it anymore, on the other hand, it made me realize you do need help once in awhile regardless of the issue. In the story her actions really is something I would do, I mean if you need something to be fixed you would definitely ask a friend or someone they would know. For instance, your BFF, whom you think she could be helpful if she had a sibling or a cousin or even someone she calls from time to time for help. Once reaching out for help, it does make me wonder who could you trust? How do you know it's safe? and How would you handle a situation if you ever get into one? I would be terrified to do it myself and randomly call, but sometimes I go against my gut. I have never been in that situation (Knocking on wood - hoping that it won't happen to me), but it definitely suck to be in it. Furthermore, Tanya's issue is fixing up a house that is completely damaged, which she just bought and no help to be found. Tanya's issue led me to think about the houses where I'm from and the thing is I've never heard of anyone having a struggle after buying a house. Usually in my culture, a house is built from the ground up and 95 percent  of the island home is cemented with hollow blocks, only damages occur is from natural disasters, specifically Typhoons. Moving on, Tanya decides to go shopping and of course meets a nice, handsome, and sexy man, which happens in most stories. Troy was his name and then again is the handy man. The story seemed to obvious with the flirt, but made me wonder how would they react and down the line, I was right. Tanya dances in the isles and Troy happens to watch. I think it's pretty clear how the story was jumping into the conclusion, but maybe I am wrong. I had the impression that when meeting someone who happens to be an angel to help your troubles was to actually get to know them and talk for a bit, but it happened quickly and I was surprised. After parting ways from a stranger who you think is cute and you just had a conversation with, don't you feel giddy or jumpy? Because I definitely know that feeling and I just want to yell at the top of my lungs. I feel like a teenage cheerleader talking to the football quarterback, but in my perspective, it'll be the class dancer and the bad boy.  By the time you're alone you just yell those butterflies you have in that belly and jump or dance.   That excitement at that moment makes you feel like a cute stalker, just waiting to see him again before you leave and the usual happens, when you don't see them and you just want to beat yourself up, oh my gosh! aren't you tired of that mixed emotion. Laughing out loud. Another way that you want to beat yourself up is when you're working so hard and looking so disgusting that you have someone at your door. Gosh! It happened a million times and it is so pissy!. Anyway Troy makes entrance and flirts in the way and I'm like "look at this guy!!he thinks he can just get her without doing something! what a stupid sexy guy!. I am laughing and thinking to myself, if that was me, I would be like man why couldn't I look good, but then again I would  be like this is me, like it or not, it shouldn't matter and gives me the advantage of being comfortable. The book actually made her seem that she was kinda flawless with her appearance and it was fine with me as long as they didn't exaggerate on her appearance. I strongly admire that. On the other hand, Troy was being a player and seemed like those guys who really knew their game. In the end, I was thinking that Troy would seduce her and take control, but then Tanya really surprised me. Tanya seduced him at the right time without him knowing and her expression was great. I was yelling in my head "Go girl! Show him whose boss!!". It really captured my attention when she actually made him nervous and so on. This made me realize that anything could happen and you can actually have good people around besides the intimacy. An awesome story.

Part I...Body Doc...

The book that I am blogging about is called "Indigo after dark". As I read the first page of the book, it stated a caution sign which I find it very amusing, it simply states as if you're having a vivid imagination, that I can relate to. The caution stated "Reading this book by lonely women may result in extreme stimulation, lust, and exquisite languor. I smiled to myself and said no wonder why my roommate/cousin recommended this book to me, because she believes I am going to the same situation. The table of contents listed all sorts of stories that seem to be realistic that could and is happening to anyone at the moment. I believe the ending of the story is not like any other, it could be very simple or a little exciting, but we will see after reading. As I read through, the first chapter is called "Body Doc". When I saw the title, it made me realize that this story maybe happening at the hospital and probably a relationship with a doctor and a nurse or a doctor with a patient. Moreover, the writer explains her situation and wants to find something passionate and deep, which I figured to myself that my cousin/roommate really knows me well and that it really relates to me. I feel like the writer is someone I've shared a personality with, because she writes as if she could tell what I'm going through, like a romantic-comedic event that fell into a dream as the stories become completed only to a dream. Nia Dixxon, the author was great in stating her ideas, thoughts, and experience. Nia is strongly realistic to me as if she was my sister inside me. In the book, she decides meeting the Body Doc that a friend recommended to her and I, on the other hand, was giggling and said to myself "God, I really believe that it might happen to me and I will fall for it". It was like her friend was my roommate and Nia was me. Furthermore, I laughed out loud as she encountered "Body Doc" and she said in her mind "This brotha had it goin on". I figured she was a African-American. Its as if she was being punched in her lower belly. The words she uses were very entertaining and very elaborate. Body Doc mentions that he paints people from his imagination which I think is very talented and impressive. I really think sometimes I could do that, but with other things. As I read along, Body Doc is very flirtatious and knows what exactly what he's doing. His nature really triggers Nia and I could imagine myself being in that position, I quickly smiled as Nia explains her position on the floor sitting as if you were in yoga while Body sits across about four feet away. Their body language really demonstrates a tension between the two of them and Nia's mind is going crazy. But of course someone is bound to avoid the situation, which Nia was doinf. Oh my god! I was right with Nia when she mentioned that she was a black, She stated that she was a dark skinned don't blush, but I do. I feel like something was happening and it is with an enormous excitement. Just placing myself in Nias position really is nerve wrecking like not knowing what to do, move, or say, but feeling hot as if you have a high fever. Soon, she mentions a song playing in the background titled " Sumthin Sumthin" by Maxwell, so I was curious to find the song  immediately to see if it really does exist. I logged on youtube and found it immediately. I listened to the song and find it very passionate and romantic, which made me realize that deep love does exist in the world after all. I left the song playing and continue to read to see what was going to happen next. Afterwards, I began to imagine that love was about to begin, although her expressions of her feelings led me to believe that this was only happening in her head that cannot be controlled and know what will happen eventually. It just felt as if she never experience this kind of behavior in such a long time and it made me think of my first love. Nia was urging this feeling that cannot be stopped and as I read, it was still definitely her mind taking control and her imagination was powerful. This gave her the idea to look at Body Doc differently and made him much more attractive in every angle. I knew it for awhile that she would give up easily to how she felt even though she mentioned most of her imagination. Eventually, Love was happening in the moment as to how I would explain the situation, it was something very deep. During the romantic event, Nia was overwhelmed and I thought to myself that this is definitely happened to someone somewhere. She was very detailed and descriptive and it really just made my imagination felt as if I owned that experience in a past life. I believe that this section is extremely explicit to readers. In conclusion, the story was very entertaining and I asked myself does it really take someone to actually open a dormant part of yourself like a feeling or tension?
